Harefield is an independent church
We try to base our church life as
closely as possible to the pattern which is laid down in the New Testament. We
are an independent church which aims at being non-denominational.
We happily receive true believers in the Lord
Jesus Christ. We feel free ourselves to have fellowship with other churches
whose constitution may differ from our own, but who own Jesus Christ as God and
Lord.

Basis of Faith |
This is a short statement of our beliefs and faith
-
Our faith and worship is centred upon the person of Jesus
Christ. We recognise the Bible’s testimony regarding His life and
teachings, His death, and His rising from the dead, to be a true and
authoritative account.
-
We acknowledge that every
individual has a need for forgiveness by God in order to enter into a
relationship with Him. The means for that forgiveness has been provided by God
himself
-
We believe that in
sending His own Son to die on a cross, God took upon Himself the penalty for
the moral failure of humanity. Because of Jesus, the way is now open for
anyone to approach God and to know His acceptance, love and forgiveness.
-
We believe that the Holy
Spirit indwells every believer and empowers them through gifts and fruit to
live a Spirit-filled life and spread the good news of Jesus.
-
We are confident in the
power of God to restore meaning and purpose to human existence, and to give a
reliable hope for the future – even beyond death.
